Plans fallen through, or just like to keep your options open? Here are some great places to celebrate Midsommar in Stockholm this year, if you don’t happen to have friends with a summer house you can visit (yeah, me neither!).
If you’re new to Stockholm, bear in mind that many restaurants, cafes and attractions close their doors for Midsommar weekend, so check online before you make a special effort to visit.

Skansen: Stockholm's Biggest Midsummer

For my first Midsommar in Sweden, I headed to Skansen and had a great time. You’ll get to experience and enjoy the traditional dancing, make your flower crown, see the maypole and experience Sweden’s classic folk celebrations. Take an SL boat to Djurgården for the full Midsummer feeling.
